my nephew Davide died at 8 months from strangulation in the womb by the cord,yet the church wont let us have a mass for him in the church. why is it that the priests are against abortion because the baby is a life…but they don’t consider it a life when its full term?

I am sorry for your loss. But the Church’s views regarding the death of an unborn child can have a funeral in a Catholic Church, so long as the parents wanted to give it a baptism.
If your particular parish has denied it, go to your diocese and talk to the bishop who has the authority to contact your parish. But don’t make the mistake of saying "The Church won’t let us," because that is untrue.

i was surprsied there was a post and every anti abortion statement got several thumbs down, shouldn’t the religious section be against abortion? I know some of them are against birth control so i cant see how they could honestly be against abortion

They simply do not recognize that their posts are so extreme that it actually harms their cause!! Lots of people oppose them because they are extremists and could care less about abortion!!

It is all about their terrible attitudes and claims that have nothing to do with a reasoned and logical argument!!

It basically comes down to people choosing to oppose their extremism as being far worse than abortion ever could be!!

So the thumbs down are not about abortion but about the attitudes and behavior!!

Just because someone happens to disagree with abortion being made the norm, doesn’t make that person a fanatical christian, or religious fanatic. I think the concept of abortion goes against humanity if any thing else, the religious side is something else… way way over there >>>

Of course you’re right. The extremist religious right tries to co-opt it as one of their exclusive issues, though.

That way they can point to everybody else and mutter "Godless liberal atheists."

Such as the pope and all the millions who fellow his idiotologies

Condoms prevent pregnancy and therefore eliminate the need for abortion. How can someone be against both these things while still being taken seriously be millions?

Catholics see sex as ONLY for procreation, therefore non-procreative sex is seen as wrong to them, which is why they are against contraceptives.

Hey! I’m on youtube once again after taking a break for a while and I decided to take back the total blocking of comments and allow comments by approval. This does not mean that anti-abortion comments won’t get posted, this just means that I will sort out anything that has already been said over and over and includes insults, false medical information, suggestions to get my tubes tied (we already talked all about why women are being discriminated against by doctors and, under 30 and without children, have almost no chance at finding a doctor wiling to perform the procedure) or, God help us, get a hysterectomy. Yes, there realy are people that believe that there are eective hysterectomies… That says it all…

I myself am against it. I need clear facts that can refute a person who is for abortion.
Can you answer the age old question on: If a girl got raped and pregnant. What should she do?
Please don’t tell me it’s the girls choice because I’m having a debate on this.

I am against abortion because the wanton taking of an innocent life is morally offensive.

I think an exception could be made in the case of rape, especially if the abortion is done early. The victim would have been justified in killing the rapist during the assault under the law of self defense. It could be argued that the baby is an extension of the violation by the rapist.

A video that me and my friends put together in our government class for a project. The project was to make a video about an issue in the world and make it a campaign video to vote for the people who made the video. Will update later when I find out the grade we got for it

Well, based on your question the two don’t have anything to do with each other because vegetarianism defines a person’s diet. If you had said vegans instead, then it would be relevant. Vegan-ism is a way of life, not just encompassing ones diet. Personally I believe in every living beings right to live, and therefore do not condone abortion or the slaughter of animals for food.
