What’s the point of saying your either for or against abortion?

When the mass majority of people are against abortion.

I am pro-choice and do not support abortion at all, therefore I am against it.
Jane d, pro-choice is not the same thing as pro-abortion.

Most people that are pro-choice are against abortion in general, but not making it illegal.

I think abortion is a horrible thing, and would never advise someone to have one…
wow, i’m actually glad people are saying this in an old issue!

What a delightful change.

There is no point in discussing it on this site, that’s for sure. But posters on this site do not represent the country at large. ∠°)

If you’re pro-choice that means you want abortion legal. If you’re pro-life you want abortion illegal.

I’m Pro-Life but the argument is getting a bit old.

Roe vs. Wade was passed 30 years ago, nothing we can do now.

    I stand as you do… pro-life, but feel its a personal choice…..so I guess I’m pro-choice :) )) No point.

the point is, whatever you are chances are you are passionate about it and think if you explain your feelings you can change others. This is probably more important for pro-lifer’s because we want to save the lives of millions of infants. It not so much we want the laws changed, we more want to change a struggling mother to be’s mind.

im curious as to how you can be pro choice but not pro abortion…its the same thing?

There is no point, and it is a dead issue.

It is useless wasting our time on issues such as this, when so many important issues are at hand.

It’s good for getting people on the other side riled up. I keep my opinions on the subject to myself unless asked.

The abortion issue SHOULD be each state’s choice. A decision made by the people’s votes in EACH state. The Supreme Court overstepped its boundaries when it heard the case. The Justices knew they should have turned down this case, as it is the voter’s right to decide, not a judge. The justices already knew that abortion should be a State’s right and not a federal mandate. It needs to be repealed since it is not an issue for the Supreme Court to begin with, then let the citizens in each state vote on this issue for their own state.

Another case of too much Federal Control taking away our State’s Rights!!!!

If the abortion will save the life of the mother, or if the pregnancy is a result of rape then the woman should have the right to say. The next problem is that there might be disagreement about if the abortion will save the mother’s life. I guess the mother is the only one that can decide then. Also it might be impossible to prove that a woman was raped and there is no time for a trial. Plus if a woman is raped she should not be forced to relive it, and be cross examined by lawyers that call her a liar, and say she is easy and wanted it. You know they will. That is her private decision. So we should only allow abortion to save the life of the mother or in case of rape and since we cannot prove either way in either case we should just ask her if she wants an abortion and trust her judgment.

because the pro-slavery people were making the same sort of argument up into the 1860′s

they were even using a Supreme Court decision to prove that slavery was right.

I expect that some of them even said "I’m not really pro-slavery, I just feel that it’s the master’s right to decide what to do with their property"
