same people against abortion cant have mass for dead baby?

my nephew Davide died at 8 months from strangulation in the womb by the cord, yet the church wont let us have a mass for him in the church. why is it that the priests are against abortion because the baby is a life…but they don’t consider it a life when its full term?

I am sorry for your loss. But the Church’s views regarding the death of an unborn child can have a funeral in a Catholic Church, so long as the parents wanted to give it a baptism.
If your particular parish has denied it, go to your diocese and talk to the bishop who has the authority to contact your parish. But don’t make the mistake of saying "The Church won’t let us," because that is untrue.

That is wrong. The Church should do mass for him! What do they think, that she killed him? I’m sorry for your loss.

wow i didnt know they would do that
    im sorry for your loss

lately i feel Christianity really is dependent of the individual
too many priests with pro-war attitudes and ways of thinking that are heartless and biased and inhumane
and too many who claim to be Christian agree with them

i would suggest finding a priest who will do it
and have a private mass elsewhere

Why, because it wasn’t baptised? I find that hard to believe.

I don’t know if this is a non-Catholic church, or if you are just a troll trying to make the Catholic Church look bad, but in the Catholic Church:

"A child who dies before baptism, or a stillborn or miscarried child may be given Catholic Funeral Rites if the parents intended to have the child baptized. The remains of fetuses or stillborns should always receive reverent Christian burial if this is at all possible. These remains may be placed either in specific individual graves or in a common burial area. stillborns should always receive reverent Christian burial if this is at all possible. "The Order for Christian Funerals provides a complete funeral liturgy for children who have died (OCF #234-342). The various texts for a baptized child or a child who died before baptism make these rites fully adaptable to various situations, and offer consolation for those suffering the extraordinary grief which comes with the death of a child."
