What is the general term for abortions which are not performed for emergency medical reasons?

I don’t mean medical abortions, for example, to prevent the death of the mother if carrying through with the pregnancy meant both she and the baby would die. I mean abortions done due to the pregnancy simply being an inconvenience.

A medical abortion is an abortion done by a doctor (for what ever reason) also called an induced abortion. Not-medical abortion is the morning after pill. Spontaneous abortion is the medical term for a miscarriage.

No matter how you look at it, it is still terminating a pregnancy. I do not know of any other term used.

They call them ‘therapeutic abortions’[ not an accurate name], or ‘elective abortions’[ used more frequently now ].
A miscarraige is a ’spontaneous abortion’.
