Because people are not responsible for their actions, except for rape. It is never a woman’s fault that she is raped, but instead of killing someone else (her fetus) she should have it. There is such a thing called "adoption" that I think many people have forgotten about. And yes, a fetus is a living thing. It starts out as a bundle of cells, and cells are living. I know a girl that got an abortion because she basically didn’t want a baby yet. She had unprotected sex because she was drunk. If she was old enough and responsible enough to get drunk and have unprotected sex then I think she is old enough and responsible enough to have a baby. And as far as choice goes, it is the mothers choice whether she wants to raise the baby or give it up for adoption. Since when is it someones choice whether their child lives or dies??? YES IT IS A WOMAN’S CHOICE TO DO WHAT SHE WANTS TO HER BODY, BUT SHE MADE THAT CHOICE WHEN SHE GOT PREGNANT!
It’s called CHOICE. Just think, if you were raped and found out you were pregnant would you want the choice to do what you wanted to?

what if someone is not on birthcontrol because they are not sexually active and gets raped resulting in pregnancy, maybe they didnt take the morning after pill cuz they didnt know about it or were in denial of the rape or were too young to understand.sounds like a good reason to me i could never have an abortion but its every womans choice to make for herself

People are just ignorant but there are some good reasons for abortions though (I’m not into abortions because I believe it is not the child’s fault that the mom and dad are dumb) There is rape, incest and children who would otherwise come to the world with some malformation and suffer until eminent death. (Like children who are born without an essential organ who may not even make it through delivery). Also when it’s an ectopic pregnancy where the child is in very high risk and the mother could die just carrying.

My body, my choice. Birth control isn’t right for everyone and pregnancy is too risky to be forced on someone who isn’t one-hundred percent on-board with it. Basically, forcing a woman to carry to term against her will is like rape and slavery rolled into one.
Abortion was made legal after the advent of the pill, so numbers of how are done are now easier to keep track of. Prior to Roe, no one could even estimate how many were being performed. Anyway, abortion has helped society in ways you cannot imagine, including reducing violent crime and reducing the number of people living in poverty.

I am with you,I just don’t get it.I am adopted and can’t thank my birth mother enough…She was 15 when she had me (birth fater ran out,he was 23).I had a wonderful up bringing and wonderful parents.Adoption is the best option!
