The environment is just fine. The earth will take care of us. Would a cow raised for consumption be considered part of the environment? If so then we are taking nothing by eating beef. While the wild cows are free to graze. We have more food and resources than we no what to do with. People are realizing what must be done now before it gets bad. Thats why we have the EPA.

Animals have a balance in nature.
If a predator eats too much prey, there will be no prey left, and they will starve to death. This will allow the prey to grow again. Which allows more predators to survive. This starts a cycle over again and helps keep animal populations in balance.
But with humans its not like that. We just find other resources to use and consume after we are done. Thats why we stopped fishing for whale oil in the 1800s and switched to electric; whales almost went extinct.

Animals use resources at different times to conserve resources. Animals have adapted to life off each other, without damaging the other species. Most of the animals that have damaged the other species were destroyed and have gone extinct.
Humans are different we consume, and we consume and we consume. We do not help the environment in any way. The resources on this earth are limited. How can you say that we can’t cause or own extinction? Its already started.
