How many states will have abortion issues on their ballots this November?

I live in South Dakota, we will be voting on a measure to make abortion illegal with a few exceptions. A very slippery slope. Of course due to the political tendancies here, it may have a chance. It was defeated in 2006 without the exceptions.

Just wondering how many other states may be making an official run at Roe v. Wade?
Good question on the enforcement, I think it would be jail time for the health provider as well as the people involved with the procedure.

Thus more of the problem that many pro life advocates haven’t thought of.

CA has parental notification up for vote.

So if it’s going to be illegal, what do they do to the mother and/or father of the aborted one?

That shouldn’t even be an issue in politics. I hope we don’t have that on our ballot. I prefer to worry about the real issues, like the economy and national security. Abortion should be a personal issue, not political.

If it becomes illegal, a lot of scared girls will do it themselves, and then we will have dead teenagers on our hands. Many pregnant girls come from physically abusive homes, and these children have no one to turn to, they are scared.

Roe v. Wade was decided, in part, with scientific knowledge of the 1970′s. since then, the abortion issue has evolved considerably – I think it’s appropriate the court "rework the laws and correct their legislation"

I say give everyone as many free abortions as they would like. that would cut down on the liberal population and selfish people that have babies they dont’ want.

not this one… and I live in texas… the only other thing we will have on our ballot is whether or not we approve of our city to acquire bonds for city development…

Keep government out of a womans womb. It has no right to make decisions like that for her.

Not here, that I know of.

In 2004 we amended the state constitution so gay marriage can never be legal.

there should be none. doesnt anyone remember why roe vs wade ever happened? wemon were killing themselves and their babies with hangers in alleys! also their is a law about separation of church and state, so let people make their own decisions and mind your own lives and dont kill your own children!

Making it illegal will not fix the problem. You’ve to educate the people so that abortion isn’t an option the will want to choose.

Abortion should only be available for the following:

    incest
    rape
    mother’s life is in danger

Any other reason is bullcrap, there is no reason today for a responsible woman to end up pregnant if she protects herself, there are way too many forms of birth control.
