The Silent Scream – Abortion as Infanticide
Dr. Bernard Nathanson’s classic video that shocked the world. He explains the procedure of a suction abortion, followed by an actual first trimester abortion as seen through ultrasound. The viewer can see the child’s pathetic attempts to escape the suction curette as her heart rate doubles, and a “silent scream” as her body is torn apart. A great tool to help people see why abortion is murder. The most important video on abortion ever made. This video changed opinion on abortion to many people.
Introduction by Dr. Bernard Nathanson, host. Describes the technology of ultrasound and how, for the first time ever, we can actually see inside the womb. Dr. Nathanson further describes the ultrasound technique and shows examples of babies in the womb. Three-dimensional depiction of the developing fetus, from 4 weeks through 28 weeks. Display and usage of the abortionists’ tools, plus video of an abortionist performing a suction abortion. Dr. Nathanson discusses the abortionist who agreed to allow this abortion to be filmed with ultrasound. The abortionist was quite skilled, having performed more than 10,000 abortions. We discover that the resulting ultrasound of his abortion so appalled him that he never again performed another abortion. The clip begins with an ultrasound of the fetus (girl) who is about to be aborted. The girl is moving in the womb; displays a heartbeat of 140 per minute; and is at times sucking her thumb. As the abortionist’s suction tip begins to invade the womb, the child rears and moves violently in an attempt to avoid the instrument. Her mouth is visibly open in a “silent scream.” The child’s heart rate speeds up dramatically (to 200 beats per minute) as she senses aggression. She moves violently away in a pathetic attempt to escape the instrument. The abortionist’s suction tip begins to rip the baby’s limbs from its body, ultimately leaving only her head in the uterus (too large to be pulled from the uterus in one piece). The abortionist attempts to crush her head with his forceps, allowing it to be removed. In an effort to “dehumanize” the procedure, the abortionist and anesthesiologist refer to the baby’s head as “number 1.” The abortionist crushes “number 1″ with the forceps and removes it from the uterus. Abortion statistics are revealed, as well as who benefits from the enormously lucrative industry that has developed. Clinics are now franchised, and there is ample evidence that many are controlled by organized crime. Women are victims, too. They haven’t been told about the true nature of the unborn child or the facts about abortion procedures. Their wombs have been perforated, infected, destroyed, and sterilized. All as a result of an operation about which they they have had no true knowledge. Films like this must be made part of “informed consent.” NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League) and Planned Parenthood are accused of a conspiracy of silence, of keeping women in the dark about the reality of abortion. Finally, Dr. Nathanson discusses his credentials. He is a former abortionist, having been the director of the largest clinic in the Western world.

It is not logically …
It is not logically possible to say that the human fetus is a “part of” the mother’s body. In 50% of the pregnancies, the mother is carrying a male fetus who (at a given point in the pregnancy) has a discernible penis. If the fetus was actually a “part of” the mother’s body, it would mean the mother has both a vagina and a penis. (And if it is a female fetus, it would mean the mother has 2 vaginas.) Puh-leeze!

I hope I am correct to assume that you are comparing the right of an unborn baby’s right to that of an animal yes? If we compare that, then there is no reason not to also compare the value of born people to animals. Other species kill other species for food. It is a natural part of nature. But to kill your own species and to condone it with lies is something totally different. Whether youre a meat eater or a vegetarian is irrelevant and is a means of rationalizing something that’s clearly wrong.

Their organs are working, actually. Though it depends really on what stage the baby is at. The heart is pumping after 21 days. At 11 weeks, the baby has all it’s major organs and kidneys begin to produce urine. Eyelids are also fully formed and blink. And can yawn and suck. That’s just a little taste of what’s going on. And all this happens before the earliest surgical abortions ever take place.

So you’re saying that the baby, in this instance is a parasite or a leech, incovenient to the mother? Unnatural too? In a way, it is almost demeaning to woman to assume that couldn’t handle parenthood. And even if they couldn’t, they could set the kid up for adoption. Currently there are 1.2m couples waiting desperately for a kid. In fact, abortion has many adverse affects on a woman’s woman’s psychological well-being. Suicide rates increase, depression increases… and it doesn’t stop there.

Yep, when two lives are threatened and only one can be saved, doctors must save that life. But it is still an extremely rare case for abortion being required to save women. This type of abortion was legal before the convenience abortion and would continue to be even if the other kind were to become illegal. To use abortion to save a mom’s life and to kill a child for convenience are not the same issue.

That’s why no one tells them the risks and what actually happens. In every other procedure in the medical field, they tell you what they will do and all the risks involved. And if they don’t, if you ask them they will. But noo… Abortion workers won’t even tell you if you ASK. The reason? They get money… lots and lots of it. If this were a simple, good surgery, they would at least have the decency to tell their patients what’s going on. Anyone who uses woman’s rights to condone this is wrong.

No matter when this movie came out, it doesn’t change what really happens. These types of procedures still occur in this day and age. If the child is indeed a homo sapien, then it has rights. Equal rights to that of any woman or man. It doesn’t change the horror of what abortion really is, and it’s murder.

Yes, but there were other factors involved. She could have family, friends, boyfriends threatening her and/or pushing her to have an abortion. Of course the girl herself is very confused, and people everywhere are misleading her into the final step. They don’t tell her what really happens, and this girl is all alone. She shouldn’t have listened to them, but put yourself in her position and think a little. What would you have done? Just give a little love. She already has a life time of pain.

Yep. A lot of times we pro-lifers are asked if we would take in a pregnant mother. It seems people believe we only care about the child until it is born… But we have many, MANY pregnancy resource centers and organizations that devote themselves to finding people who are in need, and then finding people who are willing, WANTING to give a home to those who need it. I know people personally as well, family members and friends who would.

Many times family members and friends pressure the girl to have an abortion until she feels she has no other options. Especially boyfriends.. “Have an abortion or I’ll break up with you!” These women are hurting and lost. They’re easy prey for clinics who want them to have an abortion for money. Yes… but saying that… doesn’t that just continue the hate cycle? The women have had abortions are hurting inside and confused. They weren’t told the entire truth and they lost a part of themselves in that “simple” procedure. Rather than shunning them, we need to give them a place where they can heal, and feel safe and say what they feel. I don’t think I’ve ever seen something so sad in my life. This video made me sick *in a good way, i supposed*… it made me change my “if you get raped, you can have an abortion” thought. The people who perform abortions and disgusting and sick people and the women are just as guilty for putting their child through this.
