Does the federal government put any limits on abortion?
In the US case of Wade v Roe it was held that women have a constitutional right to acess abortion. They did not however ban restrictions on partial birth abortions.
So in the US abortion is legal in every state, but many states have valid laws banning partial birth abortions,
Why would you want to kill an innocent child, your not even giving him or her a chance to breath the usa air.

There are no federal laws directly on abortion.
There are limitations on use of federal funds, such as the phenomenal amount of money that Planned Parenthood cannot be used for the rather sizeable part of their budget that does fund abortions.
What Roe v. Wade and its progeny do is to limit what the individual states may do in regulating abortion.
You should draw a distinction between a "federal law" and a ruling of the USSC limiting STATE law.
