The fact is there were NOT thousands of deaths prior to Roe vs. Wade. In 1972 the year before Roe, only 39 abortion related deaths were reported by emergency rooms and morgues to the Centers for Disease Control
With the advent of Safe & Legal abortions you’d think the death rate would drop to zero. Quite the opposite is true. In 1975 two years after Roe the CDC stated that as many as seven times more deaths were caused by legal abortions than illegal ones

It is very easy to find the true statistics of the number of women that died from illegal abortions. Are you aware that a leading abortion provider (Dr Bernard Nathanson) LIED to the Supreme Court in 1972 when he said 5-10,000 women died a year due to back alley abortions. He has now admitted to making up that figure. The Bureau of Vital Statistics shows that the number was instead 39. Yet, based on his testimony, abortion was made legal.

Get real! Please do your homework before you spout off popular cliches. Do you know that only 37 women died from abortion in 1971, the year abortion was illegal? The next year, after being legalized, about 30 died from LEGAL abortions. So, maybe ten more women died a year but since legalizing it at least a MILLION babies have been aborted every year. Seems if you are concerned with life, you’d be more concerned with the LARGER number (a million verses 37)
