Yes we would respect him a little more. Any show of the knowledge between good and evil would be a wonderful improvement and I would actually think there was some hope for him. You see, in my mind, it would mean he believed the concept of "innocence" had moral value. As far as I can see, so far, all liberal thought, policies, values and beliefs are rooted in specific, fundamental lies. All liberal rhetoric is simply justification of those lies. There is a fundamental difference between taking the life of a terrorist who is at war with the United States, or taking the life of a remorseless murderer, and murdering a premature baby. The concept of being innocent is the moral qualifier. Innocent life needs to be saved, those who take innocent life need to perish. The government, if it has any moral duty at all needs to protect the innocent.
This said, it is a grave mistake to listen to any of Obama’s rhetoric. He is so entrenched in lies changed definitions of words and immorality his words cannot be trusted. The only way I could possibly measure Obama, at this point, is to look for the outcome of his actions. His words mean nothing. For Obama the act of "Killing Abortion" is vastly different from saying he wants to eliminate it.

Owe- bama is like a man cheating on his wife …he keeps telling the other woman to wait he going to leave his wife ,but its not the right time yet. so we go on waiting for the perdition of all his broken promises. You are a bit confused about the Constitution in America. Obama cannot do anything about Abortion laws. Only the Supreme Court can. The Constitution only limits what the Federal Government can do. The rest of the power resides in the State Governments and the People. The Constitution does not grant any right to an abortion nor does it outlaw abortion. It does not speak to abortion or to any other surgical procedure.
But, in the Roe vs. Wade case, a very Liberal Supreme Court imposed their will and made a bad ruling that claims the 4th amendment, which allows people to be protected from being searched without probable cause, actually grants the right to an abortion.
You need to understand that before that ruling, abortion was not illegal in America. It was controlled by the State Governments. Some allowed it, some did not. So, even if the Supreme Court overturns Roe vs.Wade, which it should because it was bad law, it would not make abortion illegal in America. It would, once again, be returned to the State Governments to decide if they want to allow it or not.
It has nothing to do with the wishes of any President other than his selection of Supreme Court nominees.
