Abortion the cost and different stages depending on how long pregnant?

Posted by admin on January 31st, 2010 and filed under abortion cost | 8 Comments »

so what are the different prices in abortion like depending on how many weeks or months she is,if shes a week pregnant how much would it cost and where can u go, and can it be confidentioal where your parents dont have to know ect…info please?

You should be calling a pregnancy hotline or abortion clinic to find out this information. Price does vary by how far along she is and also whether it’s a medical or surgical abortion (can only have medical in the early stages). Also depends on where you go. If a girl is a week pregnant she wouldn’t even know yet. Google abortion clinics in your area or call Planned Parenthood if you’re in the US. Parental consent depends on location as well, in some states of the US where you’re under 18 you need parental consent or they have to be told, in other states no.

Is it right to advertise abortion services on TV?

Posted by admin on January 31st, 2010 and filed under abortion services | 4 Comments »

I am watching The Big Questions and wondered the views of YA users.

Personally i believe it is wrong. It seems to encourage people. I mean right now, you can go to your doctor, sexual health clinic, look up a nnumber in the yellow pages, talk to connexions depending on your age. I can’t see that we need further advertising on television. I would think that people that had to have an abortion for peronal reasons would have already been and found out the information. I would think the majority (not all) of people contacting abortion clinics after seeing TV adverts would be the ones using it as contraceptive rather than an extremely difficult decision.

So what are your views?
I like my hairy toe! I have named it Joseph
nooooo poor Joseph does not desrve that sort of pain! You’re so mean to my poor toe :(

well, it’s a free country, and a legal service. if they can advertise Viagra, then they can advertise abortions

Are Womens Rights Groups Proud Of Chinas Abortion Laws?

Don’t Chinese have to abort girl babies if one family already has one girl , but they keep boy babies to be soldiers. Do you think America will have that rule soon, if we continue the communism road?

They must be. Most of them voted for a guy who is paying for abortions all over the world – with our money. …and still support him.

As the PSC members embark on the final leg of their retreat, religious leaders are raising the red flag over a clause they say could pave way for abortion to be legalised. The parliamentary committee has so far declined to specify when life is deemed to begin.

Parental Involvement Laws Reduce Pregnancies And Abortions

Posted by admin on January 27th, 2010 and filed under abortion laws | 24 Comments »

Parental Involvement Laws Reduce Pregnancies And Abortions. STATES WHICH HAVE PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT LAWS HAVE EXPERIENCED REAL REDUCTIONS IN PREGNANCIES AND ABORTIONS AMONG MINOR GIRLS. Fact: The abortion rate for minors dropped 25.6% in the two years following enactment of a parental involvement law in Virginia.
Fact: Pennsylvania’s teen pregnancy rate dropped by 18.7% the year following enactment of a parental involvement law. Fact: A study of over 46,000 pregnancies of school-age girls in California found that over two thirds were impregnated by adult men whose mean age was 22.6 years. Fact: Parental involvement laws on average reduce the number of abortions on teens by 15 percent while also reducing the overall teen pregnancy rate. Let’s protect our daughters, restore parents’ rights, and strengthen our families. Parents are responsible for paying the medical bills incurred with any complications following the abortion. Therefore, they should be informed of the abortion decision. Public opinion polls consistently show a majority of Americans understand the value of parental involvement and support requiring parental notification before a minor’s abortion. Most teenage girls are not prepared for the possible aftermath (physical, emotional, psychological) of abortion. They need their parents to be informed and involved. It is indefensible for government (which can legally require parental involvement) to, by default, encourage girls to exclude their parents during this time in their lives. Parents must give consent for other medical procedures (excluding emergencies), including ear piercing and the disbursement of aspirin in a school setting. Minors often need their parents to sign school report cards and approve school field trips. Why should abortion be an exception?Parental involvement laws decrease the risk of medical complications connected with the abortion by allowing parents to provide important medical information and history their daughter may not know or provide. Parental involvement increases the likelihood the teenager will receive the needed follow-up care after the abortion. The absence of parental involvement laws puts teenagers who are victims of rape or incest at risk for repeated abuse. These laws generally include a provision for girls pregnant due to rape or incest to bypass parental notification or consent by a direct petitioning of the court. This triggers protective measures for the girl, who otherwise could have a “secret” abortion and return to a potentially abusive social or home environment. What is the best conclusion on the an argument for abortion?

Posted by admin on January 27th, 2010 and filed under abortion arguments | No Comments »

My friends and I have always been fascinated with the topic of abortion in relation to its controversy.

Arguments for include: Freedom of ‘what’ you give birth to.
Rape situations
Financial situations etc.
Arguments against Include: "religious" views (if relevent, thus obviously not in my case) Irresonsible use of the abortion system etc.

I’d really like an educated, well thought response so please give your opinion. :)

What a minefield you are going to open here!

I am pro-choice when it comes to abortion, although girls who use abortion as a form of contraception need their head examining! Prevention is always better than a cure especially in preventing an unwanted pregnancy.

Using abortion to "choose the sex" of a baby is wrong – babies are a gift to be cherished regardless of gender.

Abortion should never be used lightly but keeping it legal is a necessity – do we want to go back to the days of back street abortionists? women sneaking around having an abortion in a dirty environment, putting their lives at risk – I think not.

How many states will have abortion issues on their ballots this November?

Posted by admin on January 27th, 2010 and filed under abortion | 12 Comments »

I live in South Dakota, we will be voting on a measure to make abortion illegal with a few exceptions. A very slippery slope. Of course due to the political tendancies here, it may have a chance. It was defeated in 2006 without the exceptions.

Just wondering how many other states may be making an official run at Roe v. Wade?
Good question on the enforcement, I think it would be jail time for the health provider as well as the people involved with the procedure.

Thus more of the problem that many pro life advocates haven’t thought of.

CA has parental notification up for vote.
