I need help on writing a paper about why abortion should become illegal?

Posted by admin on October 29th, 2009 and filed under about abortion | 5 Comments »

I am writing a paper about why life begins at conception and why abortion should become illegal. I am completely against abortion. I know that is killing a human life.

Here is what I need to know:

1. The definition of abortion

2. How abortion works

3. What happens to the aborted baby

thanks

If your paper has to be for abortion becoming illegal (depending on your country, I think you’ll find it is in some cases) you firstly need to define abortion, yes, and then summarise the law as it is now. You then need to say what you find unsatisfactory about the current situation, as if you wanted abortion to be more restricted, or whatever your question says .. unavailable in all cases, whatever..

You’d possibly want to summarise the scientific arguments for (and against ?) the idea that ‘life’ begins at the point of conception .. deinfing ‘life’ and presenting your view of the science.

Statistics would probably help, and maybe deciding whether you want to present religious arguments as well as ones about the result of banning abortion completely (if that’s your position) on the rest of society, e.g. what support would be given under your scenario to unwillingly pregnant women whose circumstances have made them conrtemplate abortion nowadays, or maybe you don’t want to mention that at all. Would you, for example, advocate more freely available contraceptive resources and information, or would you just ban people who are not willing to become pregnant from having sex? Also you might want to discuss the effect on welfare costs, etc if all pregnancies proceed to term, and in what ways society might find this beneficial, and in what way not.

Then summarise the objections of those who don’t want abortion to be what you are saying it should be, and put your counter arguments against it. Finally, re-state your position.

Good luck with it.

Should abortion services expand for young women and anyone else without the money for a safe operation?

Before you judge, please let me explain why I ask this. I’ve personally gotten one, and for me, it was NOT the right decision. However, it’s a fact that many women, especially if they are under 18, have been so desperate to alter their situation either without their parents finding out or for whatever other reason that they’ve hurt themselves to the point of death, i.e. Geraldine Santoro, or they will go to cheap, unsanitary places where the operator isn’t even a full licensed doctor, i.e. Becky Bell. I feel lucky I was able to tell my parents, so we made sure that the place I went to was clean. Now I feel torn. I want to tell all women just to not do it, IT’S HORRIBLE. But there will always be women who feel that is the best decision for them. I don’t know whether I should stand for anti-abortion altogether or maybe that would cause further problems, so maybe clinics should improve somehow so that at least the mother will not die. (Better doctors, more counseling…) What does everyone think of this?

Not. How about using those funds for Preventive Measures? Sometimes, I think if I was a girl and the way I’m addicted to sex as a male, would I have been as a girl. Probably and I would have taken the Preventative measures to ENJOY sex, (promiscuous, ‘hoish,) making sure NOT to get pregnant.

follow-up – Your question is not a matter of for abortion or not, but I’ve dated some women with infants and I really can’t take raising a baby. I enjoy sex too much to want to have kids. however if an unplanned should happen, I would (not a proud or bragging act) sell it on the black market to these people wanting a baby. I could not see myself (if female) or my girlfriend going through an abortion. I would not want see the continuous cycle, as this would be a more available option, being done.

In anti-abortion arguments, if we are alive in the womb before we?

Posted by admin on October 29th, 2009 and filed under abortion arguments | 4 Comments »

are born, then do we only count how old we are by our birthdate and not our conception date? If abortion were to become illegal do you think that we would change the way we count our age?

The Chinese calculate a person’s age from the estimated time of his conception. Other societies celebrate birthdays to mark the day the already living child entered our world. On the day of birth we can first see, touch, and hold him. He has not come into being at this point, he has simply joined us on the outside. A birthday is not the beginning of a life, but the beginning of a face-to-face relationship. Our inability to see and hear an unborn child no more indicates he is not a person than our inability to hear someone in another part of the house indicates he is not a person.

What’s the difference between abstinence and abortion?

Posted by admin on October 29th, 2009 and filed under abortion | 23 Comments »

Surely, either way, you are denying a potentially unique human being the chance of life?

I don’t understand why people think contraception is so much better than abortion – is there really any difference between denying an individual life one way, or another way?

If you didn’t have sex, that egg and that sperm would be lost anyway – gone forever, never to be repeated. How is it so different to promote abstinence rather than abortion, when the end result is the same? :-)

I see what you’re saying. In both of these cases, a fetus COULD have a chance to become a baby, and in both cases, they’re not. No sex=no baby, abortion=no baby.
